International Photography Artist Residency Regard sur mon Voisin
 
From 12 June 2017  to 22 June 2017

 

French Institute of Montenegro, Petrovic Njegos Foundation and OSCE (Organisation for Security and Co-Operation in Europe) organise a project addressed to youngsters from RYCO (Regional Youth Cooperation Office) member states.

 

The project consists in carrying out an 11 day photography artist residency by inviting six young photographers to discover their neighbour countries.

 

The theme, “Regard sur mon voisin”, invites the photographers to use their camera as a tool capable of expressing the specificities of this neighbouring country and of their own and unique relation with this neighbour.

 

At the end of these residencies, those six young photographers will be invited to Podgorica (Montenegro) to present a selection of their pictures in a common exhibition and to share their experiences in a round table.

 

Goals:

-  To empower those young artists to discover a neighbour country through its diversity, culture, people and make photographic records of it.

-  To enable a large audience to experience this project through exhibitions and round tables.

-  To promote regional cooperation and the creation of networks and friendships bounds.

 

Travel, accommodation and feeding expenses will be covered by the project.

 

 

Residency conditions:

-   Remuneration conditions: transport, accommodation and feeding charges assumed by the project. (Justification of expenses will be requested)

-   Every young photographer shall visit a neighbouring country. The Project committee reserves the right to choose the destination of each participant. Such decision is irrevocable.

-   The artist shall be mobile. They must travel through different towns of the visited country.

-   The artist must be fully available in the designated country during the 11 days (plus round trip) residency.

-   The artists must have their own photography equipment.


 

Exhibition conditions:

-   The photographer will produce a group of high definition pictures. 10 (ten) pictures will be selected for the exhibition.

-   The exhibition will take place in Podgorica and may be shown in other neighbour countries as well. Participants might also be invited to a common round table in other countries.

-   Participants need to be fully available to the exhibition inauguration and round table in Podgorica on 28 june 2017.

-   Transport from the artist’s home country to Podgorica and accommodation charges in Podgorica will be assumed by the project.

 

Applying Conditions:

-   Amateur or professional photographers or art students.

-   Nationality: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, FYROM, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia.

-   Age limit: 18 - 30 years old

-   The artists must have their own photography equipment.
